Artist Talk with 64th Parallel Juror Jenny Day

Join Fairbanks Arts in the Exhibit Hall for an artist talk with 64th Parallel Juror Jenny Day. Day will talk about her artistic practice and the evolution of her paintings and sculptures from her time earning a BFA in Painting at the University of Alaska Fairbanks to the present. Attendees are required to wear masks and to pre-register on our website; registration is limited to 30 attendants. The talk will be livestreamed on Facebook Live (@FairbanksArts) for those who are unable to attend the event in-person. 

 

The talk will be held in the Exhibit Hall at the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts at Pioneer Park.

 

In addition to her artist talk, Jenny Day will also be presenting a professional development workshop on Tuesday, September 28, from 5:30-8:30 pm in Exhibit Hall at the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts.

 

64th Parallel is on view in the Bear Gallery from October 1–28, 2021. The gallery will be open from 12–7 pm on Friday, October 1 for the opening day. For the rest of the month, join us Monday–Saturday, 12–6 pm. Visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing, and the gallery currently has a 15-guest limit in place.
