Fairbanks Arts is pleased to present an artist talk with watercolorist Deb Horner!
In her talk, Deb will discuss how the natural environment, from Alaskan landscapes to the far shores of Ireland, inspired her art during the pandemic. She will also discuss the various techniques that she used in her watercolor landscape paintings.
This free event will be held in the Bear Gallery on Thursday, June 9 at 6 pm. Masks are required.
Deb Horner’s June Bear Gallery exhibition, Peregrinations, provides a personal diary of Deb’s travels over the past two years during unprecedented times in the world. She discovered both the joys and frustrations of watercolor painting close to the half-century mark of her life. After retirement in 2013, Deb was able to spend more time on her art and has since participated in a variety of exhibitions and was selected as the 2015 Bureau of Land Management, Alaska/White Mountains National Recreation Area Artist-in-Residence.
Peregrinations will be on view in the Bear Gallery from June 3-24, 2022.
The gallery will be open from 12–7 pm on Friday, June 3 for the opening day. For the rest of the month, join us in the gallery Monday–Saturday, 12–6 pm. Visitors are required to wear a mask.
