Calling all actors & film lovers! UAF Film & Performing Arts presents MEND, a short film by JB Brown, produced by students in Film Set Production I/II & guided by Professor Maya Salganek!

The story: In honor of repairing what is broken, Riley and her mother, Nicole, begin the journey of mending their relationship. A heartfelt story of love, loss, and second chances.

Filming Dates: Feb 21-24 & Feb 28-March 3, 2025 (UAF Campus)

Location: Fine Arts Complex (KUAC-TV Studio)

Friday, Feb 7 | 2 PM - 6:30 PM

Saturday, Feb 8 | Noon - 4 PM (Callbacks: 4 - 6 PM)

Roles Available:

Riley (F, 20s) – A college dropout returning home after heartbreak, facing the past.

Nicole (F, 40s/50s) – A mother seeking to rebuild the bond she lost with her daughter.

Riley’s Father (M, 40s/50s) – Traditional, firm in his ways, struggling to understand his daughter.

Riley’s Ex-Girlfriend (F, 20s) – Riley’s first love, now a memory of lessons learned.

All ages, ethnicities & gender identities encouraged to audition! Fairbanks community members & UAF students welcome!
