Join Fairbanks Arts Association in the Bear Gallery for this First Friday opening day of two exhibitions: “The Spaces Between” by Jessie Hedden and “Defining Alaskans through Landscape: Resilient” by J. Jason Lazarus. Jessie Hedden is a painter, sculptor, and printmaker who uniquely moves between abstraction and representational imagery and skillfully articulates form in various mediums. Photographer J. Jason Lazarus spends the long winter months creating unique portraits of Alaska’s fragile tundra, finding beauty among the bleak landscapes. These two mesmerizing exhibitions will be on view in the Bear Gallery from October 2-30. Gallery hours are M-F, 12-6 p.m, and visitors are asked to wear a mask while in the gallery.
