Fairbanks Arts is pleased to present an outdoor literary reading with Rosemary McGuire and Frank Soos! This free event will start at 5 p.m. at the Pioneer Park gazebo near Gold Rush town. Rosemary McGuire is a life-long Alaskan whose work has appeared in ZYZZYVA, Quarterly West, River Teeth, Ice Floe, and other periodicals. Her publications include The Creatures at the Absolute Bottom of the Sea, Rough Crossing, and Cold Latitudes, her most recent book, which centers on her experiences in the Alaskan and Antarctic wilderness. Frank Soos is retired from the University of Alaska Fairbanks where he taught English and co-directed the graduate writing program. His books include Bamboo Fly Rod Suite and Unpleasantries, both essay collections, as well as Early Yet and Unified Field Theory short story collections. Be sure to stay after the reading for Music Dave, our Gazebo Nights performer, who will take the stage at 7 p.m. with standards and country rock!
