Golden Days Felix-Con 2025

The Felix-Con event is a lively kickoff to Fairbanks' Golden Days festival, celebrating the city's gold rush heritage. Held on Saturday, July 12, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, it features a Felix-Pedro look-alike contest and a bar crawl through downtown Fairbanks. Participants are encouraged to dress in old-timey attire or sport a mustache reminiscent of Felix Pedro, the Italian immigrant who discovered gold near Fairbanks in 1902—a find that spurred the city's gold rush and eventual founding. 

Event Schedule:

• 6:00 PM – Start at the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce

• 6:20 PM – Salty’s on 2nd

• 6:50 PM – Fairbanks Distilling

• 7:20 PM –Lavelle’s Taphouse

• 7:50 PM –Mecca 

• 8:00 PM – Award ceremony at Mecca

A $10 admission grants entry into the costume contest, with the prize increasing as more participants join.
