This class is designed to inform and inspire crafters of all kinds and just regular curious folks. For those of us who are addicted to craft, the woods can offer an endless storeroom of inspiration and materials. However, we are all hobbled by our need for the familiar. When we walk in the woods we see mostly those things familiar to us. We can also get tunnel vision such as when we’re looking for berries or birch bark or say a grouse or a moose. What we want to do is look wide and close at the same time. I would like to go for a walk in the woods with you and observe and discuss the familiar but mostly unearth the unfamiliar. Obviously in a four hour walk we can only scratch the surface, but it is a beginning and hopefully an awakening.
