Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

We are looking for Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to work in our locally owned pediatric clinic. You will be working directly with a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. This position comes with generous benefits. This position offers flexible full and part-time schedules.

Skills & Responsibilities of Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

· Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in implementation of treatment plans.

· Document client performance and progress during therapy sessions.

· Prepare therapy materials and equipment for upcoming sessions.

· Maintain accurate and organized records of client sessions

· Support SLP in screenings and evaluations.

· Educate clients and families on exercises to improve communication skills.

· Previous experience working in a speech-language therapy setting

· Familiar with speech therapy tools and software.

· Strong organizational and documentation skills.

· Bilingual abilities to assist diverse client populations.

· Understanding of special education regulations and practices.

· Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

· Basic understanding of Speech and Language disorders.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

· CPR certification may be required

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders/Related programs

· Alaska Occupational License

Work/Pay

· 32 to 40 hours per week

· $35/hr.
