Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to project work, report writing, and collection of environmental data.  Examples of projects that you may be assigned are assisting with drinking water and wastewater design, developing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, sampling groundwater and soil, assisting with contaminated site management and spill response, writing National Environmental Policy Act documents, and permitting. Field work may require overtime, weekends, and travel throughout Alaska. Must be able to lift 30 pounds, work outdoors in all weather, obtain military base access, and have own transportation. We may also need you to assist our survey team.

Education & Experience
B.S. Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, ideally with Engineer-In-Training designation.
 
Training
Must possess or be willing to obtain upon hiring:

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification;
  • Adult First Aid/CPR;
  • An Environmental Sampler Training Class; and
  • Alaska Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead (AK-CESCL).
Compensation
